One of the characteristics of
the end of this age is a severe polarization between righteousness and evil. In other words, it will be the Church’s finest hour, but a time of deepest desperation and treachery for the rest of humanity.
The world has crept noticably towards this polarization, especially in the last century. We don’t pretend to know what date that the “world will end.” Nevertheless, the Holy Spirit puts urgency in the hearts of his people, telling us that the end-time events described in the Bible are close at hand. We are not passively waiting for the end. The Church is partnering with Him, dynamically affecting the invisible spiritual realm by our prayers. We weep for the state of the earth. We long to see God face-to-face. He weeps and longs for us even more! Something will have to give. |
